Matt Tran played this past Saturday in the Singles Tennis States Tournament at Carmel High School. He lost to Dougie Barnard of Brebeuf Jesuit 61, 61. Matt played well but his opponent was too good. Dougie Barnard is one of the top players in the Indianapolis area and a good candidate to win the state singles title. Matt finished this year with a 23-3 record. Matt also has been named to the Northeast Senior All Star team and will play on November 7th at DePauw University. This is a great honor and Matt will be a great representative for Pendleton Heights and the Northeast team.
