The Arabians finally get their first win of the season in a conference battle in Rushville. Rushville had the Arabians down 2-0 in the 2nd half when Senior Trey Merryman narrowly missed twice with nice shots that both hit the crossbar. Then with 26 minutes remaining in the match Junior Kevin Mellinger nailed a header into the net from a perfect cross from junior Mitch Wattleworth. Thirteen minutes later Junior Josh Collier nailed a 22 yarder for a score to tie the match. At end of regulation play the score was tied 2-2 and in an overtime shootout Mellinger, Collier, Aaron McCrocklin, Josh Petry, Kyle Eby, Wattleworth and Taylor Sullivan each scored to beat Rushville 7-6. Freshman Tyler Eby had 2 saves on 4 Rushville shots. PHHS travels to Greenfield Central on Tuesday Sept. 1 for another conference match at 6:30pm.
